The first thing people will notice about CloudMagic is the colorful interface, and in particular the color-coded inbox that serves to differentiate between the registered email accounts from the wide array of providers supported. It's a small but useful addition that makes a big difference to how emails are presented.

Once at the inbox screen, users can swipe left on an email to reveal the trash, archive, and read/unread options. To set a reminder for an email they can hold down on the star in the top right-hand corner and set a due date. Swiping right will reveal the individual accounts, as well as the settings menu. The most touted feature, however, is the "Magical Search" function; presenting users with highlighted results in real time as they type. It's a powerful searching tool and really takes CloudMagic to the next level in terms of usefulness.

The first issue I have to take with CloudMagic is the fact that I had to scroll to the bottom of each message thread to find the reply and forward buttons, which is counter-productive to be honest. There is also no bulk-edit option in the inbox to delete multiple emails at a time, so it has to be done one-by-one. There is a yearly subscription available, but unless users have the need for a large amount of email accounts or really can't stand an automated signature, it doesn't really warrant a purchase. Critically though, badge notifications aren't working at the moment, whether it's because they are a premium feature or whether it's a bug that needs squishing. Either way, it needs to be addressed quickly. These niggles just make the whole experience that little bit more inconvenient, which doesn't bode well for a productivity app.

Despite these gripes, CloudMagic is a very attractive email client that is a pleasure to use on the whole. The design works wonders, the search function is superb, and as soon as the issues mentioned above are resolved it'll definitely become my email client of choice.
