Cloud Girls

Cloud Girls is a simple yet fun little game from Cocoa Touch Games. I'm really impressed with the wonderful yet minimal graphics in this game. It's not a typical blocky 3D game, and it looks fantastic.

The game is a rather simple one to understand but it advances fast enough to make you appreciate how difficult it can be. You pick one of the Cloud Girls to play as. From there you are taken to the game screen where you Cloud Girl is at the bottom of the screen and stars and bubbles are coming at you from the top of the screen. You must rotate the shield around your girl to block the red, yellow, and green stars while allowing the other objects to pass through to the girl.

The game gets difficult as the stars start coming down quicker and quicker. It can get confusing quickly. Once your game is over you can submit it to the global high score list to see how you compare. Let's just say I didn't make the top 10 any of the times I played. Not sure I made the top 1000.

While the game is very well made, it is a little flat. There are no game variations, power-ups, etc. While the developers have specifically noted that these are planned for a future release.

Cloud Girls is one of the better looking and sounding games thus far. It's a rather simple and engaging game. With the planned features, it may end up being a real hit.
