Incredibly hard games continue to be all the rage and Bouncy Bits is one of the more recent of the bunch. With a Crossy Road-style unlock system it’ll dig its teeth in, gnaw you up a bit, and you’ll still foolishly come back for more.
You’re a bouncy thing as you bounce your way over various obstacles. You automatically bounce along with a tap on screen causing you to go low for a moment. The trick to overcoming such obstacles is to time when you tap and for how long just right. Kind of like Flappy Bird though, the controls don’t always feel like they’re on your side. This is infuriating at times, yet it’s so easy to go back for more.
Odds are you’ll never achieve a great score. Anything in the 20s is pretty remarkable - that’s how hard it is. There's a Challenge mode too, with end goals in sight, but again, they're tough yet satisfying. You can unlock new bouncy characters through grinding for coins and also through daily boxes to open. It’s all very Crossy Road like in this regard.
Is Bouncy Bits fun? That depends on your patience level. Those who like to win their games will soon despise it, but Bouncy Bits is oddly enticing for when you adamantly refuse to be beaten by pixels.
