Baller Legends is a fun game to dive into. It’s nothing particularly taxing and it’s certainly far from deep, but like so many flicking games, it’ll scratch an itch for a few minutes.
Split between two modes, whichever one you choose you’ll be trying to score baskets with some occasional dunking. There’s no dribbling or defending here. Scoring a basket is a matter of flicking a finger in a straight line, and at the right speed, in order to pull off the shot. Do this successfully a number of times and you gain a score multiplier, as well as a chance to dunk. Dunking has you tapping up to three times at just the right moment.
Arcade mode is just a matter of gaining great high scores, while Challenge mode has you focus on specific objectives for the sake of unlocking new items. These items are purely for cosmetic reasons but it’s a reasonable way to add some purpose to what unfolds.
Baller Legends is consistently simple but for the score chaser, it’s a pretty fun ride. At least for a little while.
