Alpha Omega is a quite soothing word game. It’s free of timers, power-ups, high scores, or anything else to rush you along. Instead, it’s a more purist experience - like in a puzzle book. With 360 different levels, it should keep you entertained for a while, too.
Each level offers you a series of words that are jumbled up. You have to figure out what the word is meant to be and move corresponding tiles to do so. The catch is that you can only move tiles once, meaning things can turn trickier than they seem. You’re helped by each level having a theme, as well as the fact that some letters are placed permanently, giving you some insight.
Its controls are simple enough with taps dictating everything, although there is one mild issue with zooming. You can zoom out to get a better perspective on things, but by doing so, you have to zoom back in to do anything. When dealing with some of the longer words in the game, this can be more of an irritant than you’d like.
Don’t let that put you off, though. If you’re after a relaxed but challenging word game, Alpha Omega has you covered fairly nicely. It’ll keep you busy for a long while to come.
