Reverse: 1999 reveals more information on the upcoming Assassin’s Creed collaboraiton

Bluepoch Games has revealed details about Reverse: 1999's upcoming collaboration with Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed universe, with Ezio Auditore da Firenze joining the fray. The crossover will launch in August and be spread across two phases, with each delving into a different time period with its own stories, events, and more.
For me, this is a collaboration that simultaneously makes perfect sense, yet doesn’t compute in my head. Reverse: 1990 is about time-travel, and Assassin’s Creed isn’t exactly the same, but it's close to it. Yet, having Ezio show up in this turn-based strategy game is a little odd. Logic aside, it's a massive boon for Bluepoch to land this.
Phase I will take players to the beautiful vistas of Renaissance Florence, home of Ezio Auditore and setting of Assassin’s Creed II. Here, Vertin, Ezio and friends will set about chasing a cryptic series of clues across the city. Phase II will then shift the action to ancient Greece, with our heroes being pulled into events from Assassin's Creed Odyssey. No news on Valhalla yet, but my fingers are crossed.

As well as being a team-up with an incredibly popular and well-known property, with collaboration also marks an important first for Reverse: 1999. This will be a globally synced launch, with every server getting the crossover events at the same time. It remains to be seen if this will be the norm going forward or just a one-off novelty.
I do have one minor gripe about this collaboration, if I can indulge myself. The developers went for an English vibe and emphasised its authentic accents, so why is Assassin's Creed Syndicate involved with Evie and Jacob? I feel they would have fit right in with the whole aesthetic. Just seems like a missed opportunity.
Reverse: 1999 is available to download from the App Store and Google Play. If you want to keep yourself occupied until then, Monster Hunter Now has kicked off its latest limited-time event, so check that out.
