Razer releases its latest product line with the Kishi V3

A few years ago, I was dismissive of touchscreen controls. Then, after playing more and more mobile games, I realised, especially in more recent ones, that touchscreen can be just as good as the rest. But it still helps to have a controller handy for those faster-paced games like Snowbreak: Containment Zone, and to help, Razer has announced the release of their Kishi V3 product line.

Now, I am quite biased here because my Warframe Kishi Pro is my go-to mobile controller. So, I am very interested in this new series. One of the things that caught my attention the most is the fact that there are three available models, depending on what you need, so you don’t need to spend more than you have to.

Your standard Kishi V3 costs $99.99 and fits USB Type C phones, the V3 Pro can hold up to an 8-inch tablet and is priced at $149.99, and the V3 Pro XL will set you back $199.99, but is usable on tablets up to 13 inches. That opens you up for a huge leap in power for your tablet gaming.

Let’s be fair, $200.00 is steep. So to help you out, the Pro XL comes with six months of Apple Arcade. Even better, the Pro and the standard both come with three months, which is a nice bonus. The Arcade has some good games. The Kishi also works with streaming from the likes of Xbox, PlayStation, and cloud services.

In terms of hardware, the standard Kishi V3 is a little scaled back from its two siblings. It has the full-sized TMR thumbsticks and the two back mouse click buttons, but the body is more compact. The Pro and Pro XL have all the benefits; they are full-sized, and come with Claw Grip Bumpers and Sensa-HD Haptics.
