Living your life by a list is something I suspect a lot of people do. I certainly do. I'm quite a forgetful person so I keep a file open on my PC at all times in conjunction with an on the go solution on my iPhone. If it's on the list I'll get it done and in a timely fashion too. As well as that I've found myself taking photos to remind me of things. So you'd think VisualList would be perfect for me. It incorporates list making and imagery. It almost is perfect but the price does feel a little prohibitive compared to other apps as simple as this.
VisualList is very simple to use. You simply load up the app and tap Take a Photo to get started. Once you've taken a photo you can then rotate the image, add a note to it or crop it to an appropriate size. Then it's a simple matter of naming the list or adding it to an existing list and you're ready to go. Further options are available such as the ability to share via email or Facebook and of course you can tick things off the list as you complete each task.
It's a handy tool. Besides being able to use visual imagery to motivate you such as when I took a photo of the state of my games room to remind me to tidy up or when I used a photo of a previous delicious dinner to remind me to cook it, there's also the potential for ideas. Taking photos of gift ideas for example is quite a good idea, you can instantly recall things rather than writing down descriptions.
The only thing that makes me unsure about VisualList is its price. At $2.99, it is a little expensive for a list app even an app as visually attractive as this. There's no denying that VisualList is appealing and it's a great concept but there are cheaper alternatives about which makes it harder to recommend.
