Pokémon TCG Pocket releases latest promo code and it is a delicious sugary snack

Pokémon TCG Pocket is smack bang in the middle of Eevee Grove, perhaps its greatest set to date. So, of course, it stands to reason that the latest promo drop will be the one, the only, Alcremie. Yes, apparently Eevee had a candy evolution all along, and none of us knew it. Wait, what? It's a different Pokémon? Oh...

Thematic issues aside, this Alcremie promo is a very colourful affair, and quite pleasing to look at. The treats all look delicious, and the Swirlix in the bottom right looks so delighted. The best part about this card, however, is Alcremie's attack. If you play your cards right, it could one-shot the whole world.

This one-colourless-cost Sweets Overload move deals a pretty poor 40 damage, but it gets another 40 added every time one of your Pokémon uses Sweets Relay. This includes Swirlix and Slurpuff, the latter of which is a 120 HP Stage 1 that needs colourless energy. Not bad, and because Slurpuff and Alremie do not require a specific energy, you can slip them into a Grass deck with Appleton for more Relay.

It is a deck that might not work in practice, but I enjoy the idea of it. Like my four-colour Eevee deck that is utter rubbish! If you want to try this sweet, sweet card for yourself, simply pop to the solo battle screen and enter the Alcremie Drop Event. Bring your best Metal deck, and you should be able to take them down. Or maybe just a big spoon. 

The promo packs also contain four other special cards you can grab. Things are slightly more Eevee over here with Jolteon being available. Vanillite, Dragonair, and Audino round off the current stable. The event is on until July 12th, so download Pokémon TCG Pocket from the App Store or Google Play to collect your new food friend.
