Pocket Master Saga guide - Tips and tricks to decipher this crazy Pokemon-ish game

Have you ever wanted Pokemon on your phone? Well, you're in luck... Sort of. Pocket Master Saga just released on the App Store, and it's a free to play Pokemon game basically.

If you're like us, the idea of training up a Squirtle on your phone is just too much to resist. The problem is, Pocket Master Saga isn't a particularly easy game to understand so we've delved into it to bring you these few tips and tricks.

Train your starter Pokemon before all others

Unless you get supremely lucky, the starting monster you get to pick will likely be your best monster for a while.

Make sure to train them up before your others - especially as they can learn support abilities to help out your others in battle.

Play your cards right

Battles are pretty easy at the beginning of Pocket Master Saga, but the difficulty does ramp up pretty quickly.

It's important that you figure out what pet abilities you have unlocked or, at the very least, experiment with them to develop some combos.

A good combo that's fairly easy to use is to play rage cards just before another special attack from the same pet. You can then play any cards that deal damage to rows of enemies.

Don't mindlessly level up your pets

You can't level any monsters above your player level so do make sure you keep your pets close to your level, but not too close so you can avoid wasting experience.
