Zombieland: Double Tapper, a cartoon idle RPG, launches today for iOS and Android

Zombieland: Double Tapper is the idle RPG tie-in to the upcoming Zombieland: Double Tap. Oddly, it's one of two different Zombieland games launching today, with the other being the Switch title Zombieland: Double Tap - Road Trip.

Zombieland: Double Tap – not to be confused with the film Zombieland: Double Tap or the other game Zombieland: Double Tap - Road Trip – is aiming to be an action-packed, zombie-filled shooter with some light RPG elements. You can expect to collect, upgrade, and customise characters from the 2009 original and its sequel, as well as several original heroes.

At your disposal is a sizeable arsenal of guns, makeshift melee weapons, and explosives. The game's campaign will see you travel from New England to the blood-splattered beaches of California. Along the way, you'll meet a host of ravenous zombie types, including hulking boss zombies.

It's said to feature the same blend of violent action and dark humour as the films it's based on, though its cartoon look gives Zombieland: Double Tapper a somewhat unique feel.
