It's safe to say that you've never played an action RPG like Angel Stone on mobile before - or, indeed, on any platform. It includes a ton of innovations and interesting features.

It was developed by Fincon, who has a great pedigree for action RPGs after releasing the hitHello Heroback in 2013. Recently, the developer placed in Facebook's 'Studios to Watch 2015' awards.

As for the game itself, Angel Stone is set in an apocalyptic universe in which angels have been wiped out by a demonic horde, and humanity has formed a group known as The Resistance as the last line of defence.

You play as a member of The Resistance, and must choose a class between the Gunslinger, Berserker, and Shadow Mage before taking the fight directly to thousands of these demons across the variety of PvE and PvP modes.

To learn more about the unique features and innovations which set Angel Stone apart, we reached out to Emilio Villarruel, Community Manager at Fincon, who kindly answered our questions.

What's your favourite class to play as and why?

"Difficult question! I've played through on all three classes but if I had to pick, I'd say my favorite so far is the Berserker.

"I'm definitely the 'bull in a china shop' kind of guy, so there's a certain satisfaction that comes from charging into endless hordes of demons with reckless abandon."

Do you have any plans to add more classes to the game? If so, can you speculate as to what this might be?

"We're rolling out a major update soon, so we'll need to let the dust settle a bit before introducing any additional big changes.

"We are constantly developing new features to add though, so there's definitely a 'never say never' mentality.

"It's all up to watching how the community responds to the game and then developing organically as a response to that."

If you were to start development of Angel Stone all over again, what would you change?

"That's a very difficult question to answer, as we haven't actually finished developing Angel Stone.

"We all play it at Fincon, so if we see something we don't like or think there's a better or more fun way to experience a certain aspect of it, we just make plans to include it in a future update.

"As long as people keep enjoying our games, we'll keep making the changes to match the community's needs and wants."

Do you have plans for a sequel? Are there any features you'd like to include?

"As of right now we're intent on seeing where Angel Stone can go as a stand-alone game, though a few years down the line a sequel may be an option.

"It's really up to the fans. We'll keep an eye on where they want to see the franchise grow."

How well a fit do you think action RPGs are for mobile?

"Mobile - especially right now - is a great platform to enjoy action RPGs on, as there are more powerful devices that can support great 3D graphics and plenty of real-time on-screen action.

"You can also get some fun new experiences if you're creative with your controls on mobile, like with our unique skill casting system that involves swiping on the screen to cast magic spells.

"For example, swiping upwards creates a magical shield around you, while swiping towards a group of enemies causes you to dash through them. There's this great tactile feel to that as you play that's unique to mobile."

Why should our readers be excited about Angel Stone?

"This coming update is only the beginning - so if you're a fan of gritty hardcore action RPGs, now's the perfect time to check out Angel Stone!"

Angel Stoneis available for free from the App Store, Google Play, or Facebook Canvas right now.
