Tower of Fantasy celebrates its first birthday with huge update

It has been 12 months since Tower of Fantasy launched, and to celebrate, Hotta Studio has released a very balanced suite of updates with Midsummer Merriment. Take part in the festivities of the Jade Pavilion Fair, or steel yourself to brave the darkness that has claimed Coudpeak Manor.

Inside Ignisville was once a place called Cloudpeak Manor, a bustling hub of activity. Since the Darkness came, however, the Manor has crumbled and is now home to a host of unique creatures, such as the cow-like Cyox or Crystaline Darkness, all ready to take an unassuming adventurer by surprise. It is also here where you will face a formidable opponent. The Golden Crow, once a sign of a good future, has been corrupted by the Darkness and becomes the Black Crow Dark Wretch. Wearing touch bone army, and wielding three retracted bird heads that all attack in coordination, you would be wise not to take this foe lightly.

If you need a break from the doom and gloom, then head over to the Jade Pavilion Fair. A new storyline that sees the people of Domain 9 all coming together for the first time in 12 years, it is a place of much celebration and joyous decorating. You can unlock a host of new side missions, and throw money at the multitude of the Exchange Stores.

You will also meet Ming Jing, a new simulacrum who is the first outside visitor to Domain 9, who has been appointed their Lord Xianwu. Taking on the role with much fervour, the people of Domain 9 have never had such a strong sense of security as when Ming Jing is around, wielding his giant greatsword that would rival the Buster Sword.
