Good Smile Company has announced that their RPG Touhou LostWord will be heading for iOS and Android devices on May 31st, with pre-registration available now. The game has previously released in Japan, where it has currently been downloaded 2 million times, and the global version has already hit 250,000 pre-registers.

The game takes place in Gensokyo where words have suddenly started disappearing with no apparent cause. It will be up to you to unravel the truth behind this particular mystery whilst following the adventures of main characters Reimu Hakurei and Marisa Kirisame.

Touhou LostWord's gameplay sees you creating a party of up to six different characters to take into battle. Each can be powered up and has various Spell Cards to utilise in fights. Beyond that, there are multiple costumes available for the characters and three different voice options to customise them with.

Before the game became available for pre-registration, Good Smile Company had announced a series of bonuses players would receive if various pre-order milestones were reached. This has now been achieved, so when the game launches, you can expect to receive the following:

  • Reimu Hakurei and Marisa Kirisame (1 of each character)
  • 100x Seal Crystals and 30000x Coins (enough for 20 pulls!)
  • 5x Story Cards (key visual version)
  • 1x Story Card (Cuckoo Bird)
  • 1x Story Card (Lively Temple Grounds)

They have now added a milestone for 300,000 pre-registers. If this target is met, then players will receive the above alongside a 1x Story Card (Cuckoo Bird).

Touhou LostWord is available to pre-order now over on the App Store and Google Play ahead of its release on May 31st. It will be a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
