It’s important to keep your data secure by using different passwords for your various accounts but it’s hard to remember them all.

While your iPhone and iPad have a basic password management tool built into Safari, it’s not really enough so we've had a look at some of the best password management apps out there.

The Best

1Password - Password Manager

+ Universal & Apple Watch App - Designed for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch
Released: 2012-12-13 :: Category: Game

FREE!

1Password has been around for a while and it’s incredibly useful. It’ll create strong passwords for you, remember them, and then log you in through a single tap.

You can also store secure notes and credit card details and, thanks to iCloud and Dropbox support, sync all of it across your devices - all heavily protected and encrypted, of course.

Honorable Mentions

LastPass Password Manager

+ Universal & Apple Watch App - Designed for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch
Released: 2009-08-01 :: Category: Game

FREE!

LastPass is a fine alternative to 1Password. It also allows you to store all your login details in one place - protected by a PIN, password, or TouchID - but other things too, like membership details, IDs, and private photos.

The one downside is that syncing all of this information requires a premium subscription.

Keeper Password Manager

+ Universal & Apple Watch App - Designed for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch
Released: 2019-02-12 :: Category: Game

FREE!

It’s not as stylish as the others but Keeper Password Manager is a convenient alternative, as there’s no limit to how many passwords you can store.

You can take private photos from within the app, and set up SMS and Google Authenticator support for added security - along with the usual TouchID protection and strong encryption.

There’s a self destruct option for worst case scenarios too! Just don’t expect to be enthralled by how Keeper Password Manager looks.

Dashlane Password Manager

+ Universal & Apple Watch App - Designed for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch
Released: 2012-05-21 :: Category: Game

FREE!

Dashlane might not sound as instantly familiar as some entries here, but it’s worth checking out.

It prides itself on its simplicity, and you can opt to store your data locally or remotely.

It safely looks after your passwords, wallet details, and even your passport information, and youyou can easily share details with friends or family in case of an emergency too!
