October was a very kind month for mobile gamers, and we've got eleven excellent games to show for it. As we head full speed into November, let's take a few moments to look back and appreciate all of the fine new releases we were treated to last month. There were quite a few games ported over from other consoles, as well as a generous helping of unique mobile IPs that made their debut in October. Let's take a look.



Subsurface Circular

Created by the same developer who brought us Thomas Was Alone, this sharp narrative adventure places you in a sci-fi universe where you'll be interviewing robots to uncover a mystery. Fans of clever writing and narrative design won't want to miss it.

Time Recoil is a capable successor to the ever popular Neon Chrome, managing to stand out as a top-notch top-down shooter in its own right. Shooting people slows time, forcing you to think strategically in new ways.

Halcyon 6: Starbase Commander

This expansive strategy RPG for PC made the jump to mobile in October, and Halcyon 6 has quickly earned itself a spot in the top ranks of strategy RPGs for mobile. Sci-fi turn-based battles abound, and the story ain't bad either.

Fans of both Reigns and Lovecraftian horror will find something to love in Underhand. This clever card game puts you in charge of your own cult, with the ultimate goal of summoning terrible demon gods.

Infiniroom is an endless runner with a twist. You'll run, run, run, jumping and dashing to leap over obstacles, but your character is confined to an ever-changing rectangular room, which presents some unique challenges.

Stranger Things: The Game

Licensed games are always a cause for suspicion, especially because generally they tend to be lacking in quality. Stranger Things: The Game is happily the exception. It's a fine throwback to SNES era action adventure games. Explore Hawkins, Indiana in pixelated form.

Thatgamecompany's hit flower sim has made the move from PlayStation to mobile. Control a single flower petal, sweeping across gorgeous landscapes as you collect your flower petal brethren. It sounds simple, but there's actually a very nice story tucked in there.
