With its recent Apps for Earth campaign, Apple has partnered with the World Wildlife Fund and a handful of developers to help give something back to the Earth.

What this means in practice is that participating apps will donate all of the money made from certain in-app purchases to WWF, and there's a bunch of new content being added to games just for the event.

The new content is only available until the 24th of April, so with that deadline looming, we thought we'd pick out the best updates to focus your time on while you can.

Angry Birds 2

+ Universal App - Designed for iPhone and iPad
Released: 2015-07-30 :: Category: Game

FREE!

Rovio has managed to make Angry Birds 2 a little animal-friendlier with its update, which has you saving fish caught in nets and bins in a three-part level.

There's also a new spell that you'll sometimes be given at the start of a level, which is essentially the same as the Rubber Duck spell, only with dead fish instead.

Jurassic World

+ Universal App - Designed for iPhone and iPad
Released: 2013-09-12 :: Category: Game

FREE!

All the new content in Jurassic World: The Game is sadly locked away in card packs, but if you're looking for new items and a way to donate money to charity, this might be your deal.

There's Buildings and Decoration packs available, but if you want to go all out, you can drop $49.99 on two new Legendary dinosaurs: the Pachyrhinosaurus and the Kentrosaurus.

Hearthstone

+ Universal App - Designed for iPhone and iPad
Released: 2014-04-16 :: Category: Game

FREE!

Hearthstone's content is once again behind a paywall, but it's only $4.99 and it nets you a new Mage hero.

The hero, Khadgar, has similar stats to Jaina, but comes with a new entry animation and dialogue. And while you can only buy him on iOS, you can then use him across all platforms, even after the promotion is finished.

Star Wars™: Galaxy of Heroes

+ Universal App - Designed for iPhone and iPad
Released: 2015-11-24 :: Category: Game

FREE!

Nothing says Earth like Ewoks, so you'll be able to buy Ewok-centric card packs as part of Galaxy of Heroes' promotional content.

You can then take your Ewoks into battle in the specially-designed Save the Forest Moon event, which earns you more shards for your Ewok characters to level them up.

Cooking Dash™

+ Universal App - Designed for iPhone and iPad
Released: 2015-06-16 :: Category: Game

FREE!

If you've beaten the first season of Table Steaks, and reached XP level 7, you can play a new 45-level campaign called Eats for Earth in Cooking Dash 2016.

You can also purchase a Compost Bin for 99c, which removes the penalty for throwing away burnt or unused dishes.
