Haegin has taken a bat to their sports game Super Baseball League and reworked the core of its pitching and batting systems. Changing up the whole of the gameplay can sound like a risky manoeuvre, so it will be interesting to see if the changes will be successful.

Despite the game's positive reception, Haegin has received feedback from numerous players about what has been dubbed a difficult attack and defense play of Super Baseball League, which in short boils down to the whole of the actual gameplay. It is commendable that the developers are listening to its player base to the extent of redesigning the whole game.

The batting system has been updated to make the distinction between Normal Hits and Power Hits clearly in terms of pulling off. The Normal Hit will require the player to simply tap at the correct time, whereas the Power Hit will require more skill, as the bat will need to be controlled.

Pitching on the other hand has been broken down into more distinct sections. The gauge is now divided so each of the areas will have a special effect. In addition speed, impact, breaking balls etc will now be based on the user’s control, making batting more strategic.

Outside of gameplay itself, an Auto Play function has been added to take over the gameplay in the event that a player gets distracted halfway through a game. Presumably, this can also be used to grind player cards to level them up, which will be a nice time saver to just allow the phone to do the job.

Additionally, defense and runner skills have been rebalanced in line with this overhaul, and pitching speeds have increased. Training will now require fewer player cards, and equipping skills and leaving up will require fewer resources, making player development much faster.

Super Baseball League is available to download now from the App Store and Google Play.
