Stormblades - Tips, Tricks, and Strategies to Slice & Dice Your Way to Victory

So, you’ve downloaded Stormblades and you want some tips on how to be the best warrior out there. Never fear, for we’ve got you covered.
General Tips
- Timing and rhythm is everything when it comes to earning the most points in this game. Practice is the best way to learn timing.
- Conversely, if you just want to progress and work your way through the levels, slash like crazy at everything. This is a particularly good tactic early on, so you can unlock the second sword quickly.
- Once you’ve unlocked that new sword, it’s the ideal time to learn to anticipate so you can parry blows. You do this by swiping in the opposite direction of the attack coming at you.
- Remember to go nuts when the enemy is vulnerable. It’s the ideal time to inflict a ton of damage.
- Learn your enemy’s attack patterns. They’re fairly clear to see and simple to fight against.
- Double tap to dodge a charged attack. These hurt, otherwise!
Essence Tips
- Avoid using life stones where possible. They cost 200 essence to buy, so you want to conserve them, mostly for boss battles.
- Remember to slash all the essence pots as you run past them. Free essence is so useful.
- Don’t worry about upgrading the first sword. Concentrate on unlocking the second sword from the 5th level, then get upgrading that instead.
- Revisit earlier levels with your improved sword. Your performance will improve that way.
Gaining Relics
- Instead of stars, you gain up to three relics per stage. This is done by earning 3000 points.
- Remove your enemy’s armor as soon as possible. It’s only 20 points but it opens up the chance to gain even more points in the long run.
- Aim to complete power strikes. These involve spotting a set of faintly lit blue arrows, then following their pattern. They’re tricky to see but will glean you plenty of points.
- Kill enemies fast for a perfect kill bonus of 200 points.
- Try to kill them without being hit too. You gain 100 points for a flawless victory.
- Work towards avoiding being hit by a boss as you gain a health score bonus, depending on how much health you have remaining afterwards.
- Remember those three relics will be easier to gain with a powerful sword, so don’t worry too much early on. Return once you’ve upgraded sufficiently.
