Steampunk Tower 2, DreamGate's sequel to their original tower defence game, is available now for iOS and Android

Steampunk Tower 2 is a DreamGate's follow up to their previous tower defence game. It's available now for both iOS and Android as a free-to-play title and will see players defending their lone base by kitting it out with a variety of turrets.

Set in a world where war has been raging for a long time, Steampunk Tower 2 puts you in the position of commander of the Battle Tower. This giant construct is dropped into various missions thanks to a presumably equally big air carrier.

The Battle Tower can be equipped with a host of different turrets that will be used to vanquish the waves of steampunk styled enemies you'll need to defeat. Each turret will bring something new to the battle and they will all have their own super shot that will excel in different situations.

Alongside the steampunk minions, you'll also need to tear down humongous bosses, who pose the greatest threat to the Battle Tower. As you can see from the trailer above, this ranges from steampunk arachnids to airships and a Bagger 288 digger.

It's apparently unlikely that you'll be able to defeat these bosses on the first attempt, therefore you'll need to be upgrading your tower as frequently as possible to deal with these powerful enemies. To do so you'll need to gather resources, claim territories and build.

Research labs, warehouses and factories can all be constructed to create new turrets and upgrades for the Tower. Meanwhile, you'll also be able to send out agents on special missions which will also yield additional resources to help as you battle your away across Europe into the heart of the enemy.

Steampunk Tower 2 is available now over on the App Store and Google Play. It's a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
