James Bolton's arcade shooter Space Frog Intern is now available for Android devices following its release on iOS last year. It sees players taking control of the titular amphibian and blasting their way through various space beasties.

Our little space frog hero was initially captured by aliens before being put to work clearing the deck from various aliens hoping to cause some destruction. You'll need to shoot them down or stomp on them to deal with the threat before you get killed yourself.

It uses a straightforward two-button control scheme combined with fast-paced gameplay that the developer says is easy to pick up but difficult to master. There will be numerous power-ups to pick up as you battle the invaders that will make your clean up job a little bit easier.

You can check out some gameplay in the embedded video below. Here you can enjoy a glimpse at the retro-styled arcade action that's found in Space Frog Intern. It's certainly fast and frantic so well worth checking out if you're a fan of action games to be heavily reflex-based.

The iOS version of the game has also recently been updated with more content too. This includes five new characters for players to unlock, two additional levels alongside new animations and various gameplay improvements. There have also been fixes to issues with IAPs and save data.

Space Frog Intern is available now over on the App Store and Google Play. It's a free-to-play game with in-app purchases, one of which removes adverts for $1.99.
