Roterra Extreme - Great Escape is a perspective shifting puzzle game for iOS that's available now

Roterra Extreme – Great Escape has been described by developers Dig-It Games as a mini-sequel to their acclaimed title Roterra: Flip the Fairytale. It continues that game's tradition of messing with which way is up, tasking you with solving various mind-bending puzzles. It's available now for iOS.

There are numerous cubes located throughout each of the game's levels that can be interacted with by rotating, flipping or splining them. This will cause the ground to shift to reveal new ways to travel through the stage. This may lead to you walking on the ceiling as you work out the best way to make it through to the next challenge.

So essentially, it's all about flipping the perspective until you can see a path that will lead through a maze. Throughout Roterra Extreme you'll encounter 35 different puzzles over 10 different levels that take in several environments such as the newly added desert. Apparently the game should take around 3 hours to complete, which isn't bad for a dollar.

In keeping with the idea of shifting perspectives, this time around players will take control of the former antagonist Orlando. After betraying his sister previously, he's now on the run, forced to face harsher challenges than in the previous game with players being thrown in at the deep end.

It'll have a different tone to the original game as well. Angelica's story was about her own personal triumph as she rose up and overcame those who opposed her. Orlando's story, on the other hand, will deal with his desperation to escape and survive. He'll even have hallucinations caused by his panic at the thought of being captured.

Roterra Extreme – Great Escape is available now on the App Store. It's a premium game that costs $0.99.
