To the delight of mobile strategy fans, Feral Interactive released ROME: Total War just a few months ago. Now the game's expansion, Barbarian Invasion is marching onto iPads as a standalone release.

This new campaign is set during the decline of the Roman Empire, allowing you to control Barbarians looking to swoop in and take control or the Romans as they fight to save their once-mighty empire. Players will employ military tactics, diplomacy, and subterfuge to conquer their enemies.

The expansion is a port of the original PC expansion, offering enough content to satisfy enthusiasts as a solo title. The mobile version will feature updated graphics for retina screens, revamped touch controls, and the game can now auto-save mid-battle should real life ever interrupt a session. The game will be available on the App Store in March for $4.99.
