Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links uses the Speed Duel format of the card game, so each duel is pretty quick and action-packed, but what is that just isn’t quick enough for you? Well, luckily September 28th sees the introduction of Rush Dues, as well as opening the doors to its’ newest world based on Sevens.

Sevens is one of the latest series of the franchise, it follows the story of Yuga Ohdo, an elementary school student who decides to innovate on the standard card rules and introduce his own form of duels, called Rush Duel. He later goes on to become King of Duels, presumably easy to do when you are the one who invented the rules. When the new Sevens world opens on the 28th of September, players will be able to explore the world of this popular series, as well as partake in duels with some of these characters. No doubt we will be able to step into the shoes of creator Yuga Ohdo or help Lucidien Kallister on his way to obtaining his own title of King of Duels.

This update also brings with it Rush Duels, which before you start to worry, is not replacing the current system. Both modes will run alongside each other, with Rush of course offering a new raft of gameplay rules. If you thought that the normal Speed Duel format was quick, then Rush will blow your mind.

For one, the draw phase lets your completing replenish your hand each turn, no matter how many cards you have whipped out. You can also summon monsters back-to-back, filling the field in no time flat. This will definitely lead to some incredibly rapid, action-packed duels, with massive monsters coming out to turn one. It will also probably lead to mill decks running Rush Duels given how many cards your opponent will always have.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links is available to download now from the App Store and Google Play.
