PUBG MOBILE has had some pretty high-profile collaborations before, however, its latest announcement might be one of its biggest. To celebrate the release of the new movie, Dragon Ball Super is coming to the battlegrounds of PUBG MOBILE in 2023.

Since launching in 2017, there have been a lot of collaborations held in PUBG MOBILE. The likes of Neon Genesis Evangelion, Jujutsu Kaisen and Arcane have already graced the shooter, but the Dragon Ball series is a real coup. Arguably most of the western world's introduction to Anime, the Dragon Ball universe is a behemoth in media, and a collaboration with a game as big as PUBG MOBILE is sure to boost the audiences of both massively.

The series began back in 1984 when Akira Toriyama premiered the series in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump, and from thus a legend began. The manga itself has sold a record 260 million copies worldwide, and the anime series Dragon Ball Z gripped the audiences in every country, not to mention the countless video games and resurgence of the series with Dragon Ball Super.

Dragon Ball Super: SUPER HERO centres on The Red Ribbon Army, which Son Goku destroyed as a child in the original Dragon Ball series. Nefarious individuals who wish to continue the spirit of the group have created, what else, the ultimate Androids Gamma 1 and Gamma 2. Styling themselves as Super Heroes, the two start attacking Piccolo and Gohan and forcing the group to get involved. Questions like what is the New Red Ribbon Army’s objective and why attack the Z Warriors will only be answered by watching the movie.

More details of the collaboration will be released closest to the release date in 2023, but until then PUBG Mobile is available to download from the App Store and Google Play.
