In the mood for a retro arcade experience? Well, look no further thanPolyBlast, a simple yet quite compelling arcade puzzle shooter.

Simple doesn't mean easy though - andPolyBlastposes quite the challenge. With that in mind, we've got a few tips and tricks to help you shoot all of the targets.

Prioritize

It’s easy to be overwhelmed by your options when it comes to deciding what to shoot, but try to prioritize. Focus on one target a time rather than blindly shoot everywhere.

Softly, softly approach

Don’t go overboard and run out of ammo - make every shot count. Though you can refill your ammo if you make mistakes, it’s a limited option.

Power-ups

The freeze power-up is great as it stops shapes from descending for a few seconds. Use it wisely to give you that extra edge in battle.

Frenzy mode is for when you’ve lined up a series of shots in a row. Always work towards achieving that.

Good vibrations

When your phone vibrates because platforms are sinking too low, don’t panic! There’s still plenty of time to make a comeback, even if you do lose one star for setting off the alarm.

Don’t forget the other modes

Solo is where you’re going to go first. That’s fair. Don’t forget to check out Seasons though. These are themed for the time of year, so right now there's a snowy landscape and a candy cane theme. It’s tougher than the regular set of levels, but it extends your options massively.

There’s also Versus mode which can be pretty fun if you have a friend nearby. Using a single device, you can fire away from each side, with the winner being whoever shoots the most targets.

Make every shot count in Versus mode. You don’t have long and limited ammo means you don’t want to screw up too readily.
