Noodlecake Studios sneakily announces one last game for 2016

The ever prolific Noodlecake Studios is ending the year with a splash, publishing just one last game before 2016 is through. Island Delta, created by Mantisbite Games, will be arriving on iOS on December 22 as an early Christmas gift. We think that's plenty of reason to celebrate!

Island Delta is an action adventure game set in a colorfully rendered cartoon world. Its sci-fi, futuristic setting has you wielding an anti-gravity gun as either Zoe or Baxter, the game's main protagonists. Zoe seems to specialize in tech skills, while Baxter is all about blowing things up. You'll have to make good use of both of their abilities if you want to succesfully escape from the evil Doctor Gunderson's lab.

Succesfully navigating levels and defeating enemies all comes down to how creative you get with using the objects around you to solve puzzles and maneuver your way around traps. That means sucking in enemies and crates and throwing them to block lasers and cross platforms hovering over poisonous green gloop. There seems to be a lot of room for creativity in how you approach exploration.

While the game will only be on Apple devices for the time being, Android users shouldn't feel too bad. Noodlecake's bringing Pixeljam Games' browser pinball game Snowball! exclusively to the Google Play Store on the 22nd.
