Niantic has now shared some fresh details on the upcoming Pokemon GO Fest 2020. The event itself is set to take place over the course of two days, and a single ticket will gain you access to both.

Day 1 is currently set to take place on July 25th, while Day 2 is planned for July 26th. Some of the main draws include a Special Research story and GO Fest-exclusive Global Challenge Arena. This sees you teaming up with other players to complete a collaborative challenge every hour. If you happen to clear the challenge, you'll earn a bonus for the remainder of the hour.

During the event, you'll be able to encounter over 75 species of Pokemon, either in the wild, in raids, or via Special Research tasks.

Tickets are now on sale in the in-app shop and cannot be purchased with PokeCoins. They're priced at $14.99 plus any applicable taxes and fees.

Limited-time challenges are set to run in the weeks leading up to GO Fest 2020. By completing some timed research lines, you can unlock additional Pokemon appearances during the main event.

Niantic plans to donate proceeds from GO Fest tickets, committing a minimum of $5 million. Half will go to fund new projects from black gaming and AR creators, while the other half will go to US nonprofit organisations that help local communities rebuild.
