Nexon releases its anime-obligatory beach episode for RPG Blue Archive

Whenever a game adopts an anime art style it's almost an inevitability what will regularly pop up, and that is no different for Nexon's RPG Blue Archive. That’s right, for better or for worse, it is time for the regularly scheduled beach episode, entitled Business Trip! Momoyodou, because how can you do business without a swimsuit?

Now that winter is over, the students of Momoyodou descend upon the beach for their summer vacation to relax and have fun, or at least that was the plan. The students soon find themselves stumbling into the centre of a nefarious plot and must fight to survive, and quite amusingly the four new students will be fighting armour-clad, gun-wielding enemies with water guns and beach balls. Hailing from the Abydos Academy, Hoshino (Swimsuit) is an explosive striker, with an EX skill that increases the ATK of all allies within range, and grants an Explosive Effectiveness Buff, making her a nice pick for high damage parties. You can also pick up Shizuko (Swimsuit), a Mystic Special that can move four allies within a circular range to a designated location and grants them a shield, which genuinely sounds like a fantastic tactical ability with a lot of applications.

The Allied Hyakkiyako Academy is offering two students for this event, starting with Chise (Swimsuit). A Mystic Striker, she can alternately fire grenades at three enemies that deal AoE damage and stuns targets, dealing more damage to those already under a CC effect. Izuna is also a Mystic Striker that can deal damage proportional to her ATK on a single target, making her a decent team-up for Hoshino's buff.

To help you get these beach battlers, Nexon is giving out 100 Free Recruitments between the 5th and 13th of February.
