Please, Touch the Artwork is the new puzzle game from solo-developer Thomas Waterzooi that gives you the chance to play around with modern art. So prepare to get your hands dirty as you navigate your way through more than 150 puzzles and take a deep dive into the world of modern art.
The award winning title picked up top honors at Pocket Gamer’s Very Big Indie Pitch (Helsinki 2019), won 'Best Art' at Tokyo Game Show, and earned an Honorable Mention at Develop Brighton so you can expect something very special when the game launches in 2022.
Please, Touch the Artwork begins with a trip to an exhibition for the artwork of the famous painter, Piet Mondrian. Only you find no ropes or boundaries keeping you separated from the art that surrounds you. As you approach each new piece, a puzzle will present itself. The first level finds you having to add colours and lines to a canvas to replicate the painting you see presented before you, while the second tells the story of Boogie & Woogie, a couple of squares looking to partner up. It will be your job to help reunite them by navigating Boogie through a series of abstractions which will determine his path. In the third level you’ll find yourself thrust into the maze that is New York City, navigating your way through its myriad of streets and people, represented through modern art.
With over a hundred levels, adding up to over two hours of gameplay that will keep you entertained and in awe of the artwork at your fingertips, Please, Touch the Artwork is an aesthetically pleasing journey, set to a soothing jazz soundtrack that compliments each piece.
Please, Touch the Artwork will be available for iOS, Android, Switch, Mac & PC in early 2022. iOS users can pre-order from the iOS App Store now to get a 20% discount.
