LifeAfter, NetEase's popular survival game, is set to receive a new map with an erupting volcano later this month

A new map will be making its way into NetEase's popular survival game LifeAfter. The map is set to arrive on May 28th and will introduce a volcano that's teetering on the verge of eruption, bringing a host of added challenges to the game.
It has lead to extremely high temperatures and elsewhere there are reduced crop yields, unexplained animal deaths and a mysterious fog that's spreading over the landscape. These various anomalies have led many to believe a crisis is just around the corner.
It'll be up to the players to answer The Federation's call to investigate and trace whatever has caused these anomalies. Though naturally, given all the strange weather phenomenons this won't be an easy task.
This will bring a whole host of quests for players to complete that will see them looking into the cause of the drastic changes in weather. The outcome of them looks to be choice-based with various options available throughout.
For instance, you'll be able to decide whether or not you want to team up with Scientia. Will you even leave Levin City in the first place or stay there and do what you can to help? There will also be companions that will go missing and you'll have to decide whether to spend time looking for them or concentrate on delving deeper into discovering the cause of the crisis.
LifeAfter is available now over on the App Store and Google Play. It's a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
