League of Legends: Wild Rift Origin Series has finally been announced including a venue, dates, and all the other details. Riot Games announced that the Championship will be hosted in Stockholm in Sweden.

The mobile esport series is Riot’s first attempt in the mobile scene, following years of success with the PC version of the game. Riot Games had already announced the Origin Series way back in May this year.

The tournament has been divided into three stages - the group stage, the knockout stage, and the finals. The first stage will be held on September 24th and will use a best-of-one round-robin format. The two best teams from each group will then move onto the next stage.

On September 25th, the Knockout Stage will take place. Here, the winners from the previous stage will go head to head. Naturally, the winner of the Knockouts will secure a spot in the Finals. Meanwhile, only the best five teams can make it to the semi-finals.

The Finals are scheduled for September 26th, 2021. Here, the top seven teams will battle each other and the winners will grab the first-ever Wild Rift Origin Series title. On top of that, the winning team will make its way straight into the World Championships for 2021.

The Origin Series will feature six teams from the intercontinental Origin series. This includes teams from Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, Turkey, and the Commonwealth Independent States.

Winners will bag the biggest chunk from the prize pool. As of now, the No Team No Talent from Group A, Unicorns of Love WR from Group B, and the Sunlight Team from Group C are the best teams.

The Wild Rift Origin Series will be hosted from September 24th to September 26th, 2021. The developer has announced an attractive prize pool of €300,000.
