Square Enix has unveiled the next entry in the Tomb Raider series, this time headed for mobile platforms sometime in 2021.

Tomb Raider Reloaded sees the return of iconic video game legend Lara Croft as she explores lost ruins, battles wild animals and solves extravagant puzzles. The game will be a free to play action arcade title developed between Square Enix London and Emerald City Games. Besides that, there isn’t a whole lot to go on. The official Tomb Raider Twitter account revealed the game in a tweet yesterday, showcasing a few of the enemies Ms. Croft will be squaring up against including a hideous group of spiders, a pack of wolves, and a large dinosaur. There has been no gameplay revealed yet, however, so we still don’t know how this will play.

You can also see the art style for Lara’s character, going for a cute chibi design, almost like a collectible figurine, rather than the hyper realistic modern interpretation that the recent console reboot games have adopted. It’s all available in the trailer seen above.

Of course, as it’s a Tomb Raider game you can expect the usual spike traps and hazardous puzzles to be included in there somewhere, and I’d imagine players will be splitting their time between solving these puzzles, fighting enemies, and exploring old tombs to progress through the story.

The last time we saw the series on mobile was 2015’s Lara Croft: Relic Run and Lara Croft: Go, meanwhile Tomb Raider Reloaded is headed for iOS and Android sometime next year. It’s a free to play game but more details are thin right now.
