Well, it's Thursday again. Time moves pretty fast, right? Or slow. Whatever time does, Thursday is when we announce which 5 iOS games are up for our game of the week award. And I tell you what, we've got some right crackers for you this week.

If you want to get involved, leave a comment at the bottom of the article, post on our Facebook page, or send out a tweet using the hashtag #148GOW. It really couldn't be simpler. We'll be announcing the winner next week, so make sure you keep your eyes on 148Apps to see if the game you backed has won.

New Star Soccer Manager - download for iOS

The New Star Soccer series takes a step in a deeper direction, casting you as the manager rather than a player. The end result is a management sim that's going to steal days of your life if it gets its claws into you.

Why we think you'll like it: Because it's a ridiculously deep, wonderfully precise game of juggling. There's so much to do here, and you need to make sure all of it gets done, one way or another. Plus the actual soccer part of the game is as slick and addictive as it ever was.

Battleheart 2 - download for iOS

The sequel to the brilliant strategy RPG has finally made its way to the App Store, and we couldn't be happier to see it. It's got everything that made the first game great, and an awful lot more besides. Just what you want from a sequel.

Why we think you'll like it: This is a game that's been designed from the ground-up to work on mobile. The length of time you'll spend, the actions you take, and the fun you'll have, are all perfectly portable. If you're a fan of RPGing on the go, then you're going to love it.

Fracter - download for iOS

A gorgeous-looking adventure puzzler that's just dripping with style. Simple mechanics let you explore a world of black and white, finding out more about your place in that world as you progress. Smart, engaging, and very intelligent.

Why we think you'll like it: If you're a fan of the likes of Monument Valley, then you're going to get on really well with this one. It's got a similar sort of atmosphere, but it builds its own intricate mechanics on top of that. And that makes for a familiar but rewarding experience.

Earth Atlantis - download for iOS

The world has been flooded, and humanity's only hope at keeping the sea monsters at bay is you. Not just you though, you've got an awesome submarine that fires lasers to make sure the various krakens not make it out of the briny depths.

Why we think you'll like it: The game mixes together ideas from the metroidvania genre, arcade shooters, and sprinkles a bit of Monster Hunter in there too. It looks utterly unique, it plays really well, and you should definitely check it out.

The Eyes of Ara - download for iOS

A game that's very much in a similar vein to the likes of The Room. You're exploring a weird castle in first person, solving puzzles to unlock doors, open drawers, and unlock the secrets of the mysterious building.

Why we think you'll like it: Because first person horror games with head-scratching puzzles and strange storylines are right up everyone's street, yeah? And this one's well polished, has some interesting ideas, and puts up a pretty decent challenge too.
