It can be tricky, especially when you risk burning your kitchen to the ground if you forget a cake in the oven, so make sure to use these time management tricks to keep your bakery running smoothly.

Don’t collect the money right away

In exchange for your tasty, tasty baked goods, customers will leave you with a nice sum of cash. Resist the urge to pocket it right away, though, as it’s best to focus on any active orders and make sure they get delivered to your hungry neighbors before gathering your earnings.

If you fail to claim the money on time, it’ll automatically be added to your coffers. As an added bonus, new customers can’t come into the restaurant if there’s money left unclaimed.

Make good use of the cake plate

Early on you’ll get access to a handy cake plate. You can use this to display extra cakes, possibly enticing customers to buy it. This will save you from having to bake an entire cake again from scratch.

You can also use the cake plate to juggle different cakes and drinks while you’re preparing them. You only have two hands, so if you’re handling two cakes and suddenly need to serve someone a drink, place one of the cakes on the plate for some temporary relief.

Memorize the orders

Certain characters consistently order the same things. For example, the elderly gentleman usually orders a two-layer square chocolate cake.

Taking note of different characters’ favorite sweets will give you a few extra seconds to prepare, which can make all of the difference when you have four different people pushing for your service.
