So you've taken your first steps into the world of Marvel: Avengers Alliance 2, but now you're staring at the screen without a clue how to continue.

Don't you worry, we all know that with great power comes great responsibility. And we also know that every hero needs a mentor. Someone to guide them through the trickier aspects of hero-hood. Someone like148Apps.

And that's where this guide comes in. We'll show you how to get to grips with the basics of the game, and give you some hints as to how to polish up your team-ups and get the most out of your iso-8 reserves.

Learn your moves

Whenever you unlock a new hero, take a moment to familiarise yourself with the moves they have at their disposal.

It's all well and good just guessing and hoping for the best, but there are moves that work much better in specific orders, and ones that will have better effects if an enemy is already debuffed. Learning how to use these properly is key.

Know your enemy

When you're fighting a foe you'll get a lot of information from them. Sometimes that information can be a little confusing, but it's worth paying attention to. Watching which combatants buff the others, which ones heal the others, and which ones are resistant to different kinds of attacks, is very important.

The system here is surprisingly deep, and we'll deal with it in more detail in another tutorial. Just remember to make sure you're using your heroes against the enemies they're strongest against.

Don't bottle it up

Using iso-8 to upgrade your heroes is important every step of the way, so don't keep the special goo to yourself.

Different grades of iso work better with different types of heroes, so it's a good idea to use them in the right combination to get the right effects. You'll also get XP from fights, but topping it up will get you stronger, faster.

Make some friends

One thing you'll notice as you play is that the third slot of your team is often filled up by another player's character.

When this happens, after the fight you'll get asked if you want them to be your ally. Always choose yes. You get extra bonuses for fighting alongside your allies, so making sure you've got a strong band of friends behind you is going to be beneficial for everyone involved.
