Aren't we nice?

What’s the easiest way of gaining new abilities?

The quickest way is pretty simple, but you might not want to rely on it. Like with getting new heroes, you can simply spend 25 gold on a Superior Power Cell and see what the luck of the draw will bring you.

It might bring you a new hero, or it might bring you a new ability. You just don’t know. That’s the downside to this quick and easy approach.

What are the most reliable methods?

Just keep playing the game. As you play, you’ll earn Experimental Power Cells by defeating bosses and completing quests. These only offer one star abilities, but they’re quite handy for your low level heroes.

If you're feeling confident, you can also gain abilities by participating in PvP tournaments.

Why do I even want more abilities?

Well, because then you get to cause more damage to your enemies, which is the point of the game.

You get two abilities and a tactical skill at the beginning, then unlock one more when you hit level 10.

Then, at level 20, you gain a passive innate skill. It’s important to keep an eye on these, and put together a combination that works best for your play style.

Can I upgrade them?

Of course! The best way to do this is by playing hero’s trials that unlock at hero level 10.

These are usually quite simple, such as activating a certain ability a particular number of times, or wiping out a set number of enemies.

Work towards these and you gain additional stars for your abilities, which massively improves them.
