Honkai Star Rails new update introduces new characters, areas, and a tough dungeon

HoYoverse has announced the release of their smash hit RPG, Honkai: Star Rail, latest update, Version 1.3. Celestial Eyes Above Mortal Ruins will land on August 30th and brings with it a Simulated Universe update, new characters, and a whole new area to explore.

In the aftermath of the Ambrosial Arbor crisis, where Jiang Yuan and Dan Heng teamed up to defeat Phantylia, the Exalting Sancum is in desperate need of rebuilding. Version 1.3 introduces the Aurum Alley, where charitable Trailblazers can join in the efforts by managing strategic logistics and cargo organisation to see this bustling commercial hub restored. For a more hands-on combat experience, Herta’s Simulated Universe has undergone an upgrade with The Swarm Disaster. As you tackle dynamically generated domains, you will learn more about the titular disaster that was caused by Tayzzyronth, the Aeon of Propagation.

To help you out with this tough new challenge, you can recruit three new friends. Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae is a five-star Imaginary character on the Path of Destruction. This Heng variation is able to consume Skill Points to whip out power abilities, such as their Ultimate that deal heavy damage to a single target and those around them, whilst also generating Squama Sacrosancta to help with the skill point cost.

Fu Xuan from Xianzhou Luofu will be a formidable party member, wielding the omniscia granting her limited premonition. This five-star Quantum character follows the Path of Preservation and specialises in support. She has the ability to bestow effects such as damage reduction, absorbing damage for her allies via Skill, and dishing out AoE damage with her Ultimate.

Our final character hails from the noble Landau family. Lynx is a four-star Quantum character on the Path of Abundance, rounding out this new crop of recruits with her healing skills. Her Ultimate instantly heals allies' health and removes one debuff, and she can also turn one of your Destruction or Preservation characters into a tank by increasing the odds enemies will target them.
