Reigns: Game of Thrones screenshot - Making a tough choice

Friday is here again, and that can mean only one thing. Well, it actually means loads of things, but around these parts it means it's time to round-up all of the awesome iPhone and iPad games you're going to be playing in the coming seven days.

And we don't think we're putting too fine a point on it when we say that this is the best week ahead that we've had for a good long time. Seriously, look at all the amazing games that are coming out. It's going to be difficult to choose three, let alone choosing just one of them.

That's not to be mean to this week though. Click here and you'll be able to vote for your favourite release from this week's slate.

We've added pre-order links for all of the games here, so you can grab them now and not have to worry about remembering they exist in the future. Got your own suggestions? Then make sure you put them in the comments section at the bottom of the article. Let's all get excited together.

Reigns: Game of Thrones - pre-order for iOS

Oh me oh my, this is the big one for next week. It takes the shape of Reigns - the Tinder-like swiper that sees you ruling a fantasy land - and drops it into the world of Game of Thrones. You're not just any ruler, you're Danaerys Targaryen. Or Sansa Stark. Or Jon Snow. Or Tyrion Lannister. And the choices you make can have dire consequences for the realm. Sounds ace, right?

Pivotol - pre-order for iOS

Anything new from Radiangames is always worth celebrating. This one is a puzzle game about coloured blocks, which sounds pretty uninspiring, but just a glance at the game will tell you otherwise. It's super smart, super well put together, and if you're looking for a head-scratcher next week, this is the one for you.

Max: The Curse of Brotherhood - pre-order for iOS

A gorgeous looking port of a really interesting puzzling platform sequel. You're Max, you've got a special pen that can change the world around you, and you need to save your brother. It'll be really interesting to see how the game translates to touchscreen controls, but for sheer good looks alone this is one to get excited about.

Axolochi - pre-order for iOS

Axolotl aren't just difficult to name, they're also utterly adorable. This is an idle game that intends to tap into that adorability. You collect, train, and merge the creatures to create even more impressively cute little critters. The more you make, the more you earn, and the more weird looking fish-man hybrids you can have under your power.

Sector. - pre-order for iOS

An endless action game that takes its inspiration from the likes of Super Hexagon. It's all about swiping on the screen to smash a coloured ball into some coloured shapes. Obviously there's far more to it than that, thanks to a difficulty level set somewhere close to the heavens. If you like games that make you grind your teeth to dust, this one's definitely worth your time.

Tower Power: Flick 'em Up - pre-order for iOS

This one looks like it could be a really charming mixture of a whole bunch of mobile genres. There's flicking, tower-defending, shooting, and a whole bunch more thrown into the pot here. It looks great, and if it gets the balance right then there's a good chance that Tower Power could become your next great obsession.
