In case you haven’t heard, MU Origin just got a colossal new update with new all-server events, battle modes, and systems making their way to the land of MU. Here’s a handy guide to everything you need to know about the latest content.

Brand new PVP mode – Battlefield of Heroes

To kick things off, there’s the new all-server PVP battle event, Battlefield of Heroes. Now, an RPG revamping its battle modes here and there might not seem like anything new – but in the land of MU things tend to be a little more epic. Pushing the boundaries of graphics capabilities and server limitations is the name of the game in MU Origin, and it’s perfectly exemplified in this gargantuan 100 player team battle event, fully realised in stunning 3D visuals.

Split into one of two teams, you’ll be competing against up to 50 other warriors, battling to gain points by vanquishing your opponents, hunting for bosses, and mining precious items. Every point you pick up brings the promise of better rewards so be sure to register from 21-00-21:25 every Tuesday and Friday to get involved in the action.

Battle Core Event

Another exciting all-server event served up in the latest update is Battle Core – a mad dash race for teams to reach 1,000 points in order to emerge victorious. There will be plenty of rewards for those that do, with large amounts of EXP, fame points, and achievement points earned for every victory. At the same token, rewards will diminish significantly after every loss, so there’s no room for any shirking.

To keep all things fair and competitive, the Battle Core system will assess the ability of each team to make sure that their opponents will be evenly matched, so it’s going to take brains as well as brawn to win.

Server Dungeons – ‘Harmageddon’ and ’Elemental War’

Team up with players from all over the world to take on evil in these two new all-server dungeons. These certainly aren’t to be taken lightly, with victory in Harmageddon only being achievable by defeating the final boss in under 15 minutes – and to get that far you will have to battle past the Four Knights in order to summon him.

Elemental War is no picnic either, with victory achieved only after destroying evil hordes one after the other. So what’s so hard about that you ask? Well, there are over 30 waves of them in total, and each get progressively more difficult with every one that you dispatch. On top of that, you’ll be battling against the clock as well – if there are any monsters left standing when the time limit expires then the dungeon will end, and so will your chance to pick up those precious rewards.

Upgrade your characters with the new Soul Stone and Relic Systems

Besides adding in some glorious new ways of engaging in combat, the latest update to MU Origin also provides some new and unique systems to upgrading your character and gaining buffs.
The Soul Stone system will task you with finding one of three different types of stone – Orbium, Tris, and Quadion – which when used and combined together in various ways will grant elemental stats to your character.

These precious stones can be found by mining for them using Diamonds and the mysterious Soul Dust – which can be obtained in the Elemental War dungeon and Battlefield of Heroes event.

The Relic system will provide even more ways to boost your character by piecing together the fabled Relics – Golden Grail, Golden Crown, Golden Sword, and Golden Scripture – from 6 different pieces. To get the benefits from the pieces, you’ll need to enhance them using fragments, which you can find in the Harmageddon dungeon and Battlefield of heroes event. Do all of that and you’re on your way to receiving some really powerful boosts to your stats.

But that’s not all...

Besides the big events and fancy new stat systems, you’ll find improvements in many more areas of the game. In-game items have had their stack limits significantly raised, three brand new pets have been introduced, the max equipment enhance level and Zodiac levels have been boosted, and there’s also a new costume system to give your character a fresh new look too. Besides all this, MU Origin is even letting you cut a few corners here and there with the Daily Benefits system, which allows you to instantly clear daily tasks.
