Fortnite Season 8: Everything you need to know
Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8 is about to drop and Epic Games revealed an exciting story trailer along with an equally exciting battle pass video.
The new Fortnite season is called ‘Cubed’. Considering the prominence given to blue cube in Operation Sky Fire, the name is not very surprising.
Fortnite Season 8 Cubed: What does it look like?
If you watch the trailer then you will understand how important the cubes are. If you have been a Fortnite player since 2017, you know that cubes have been a part of it since 2018 (remember Kevin the Cube?).
The trailer is quite action-packed and shows a giant, purple cube glowing in the dark. A few moments later, some skeletal monsters attack the characters. A top-angle view of the island tells us that the glowing cubes are scattered everywhere.
New Additions in Fortnite Season 8
A new element called ‘The Sideways’ has been added to the game. These are new locations that can be accessed via portals. The Sideways don’t have buildings, low gravitational force, and are loaded with monsters.
New threats come with new weapons. Players will be able to gather special items in the Sideways and craft powerful weapons. Meanwhile, some timeless weapons like the Harpoon Gun and automatic sniper rifle are back.
The upcoming season will see new characters like Torin, J.B. Chimpanski, the vivid unicorn Fabio Sparklemane, and the Marvel character Carnage.
Additionally, in the new season, players will be able to set up turret stations together by donating bars.
Fortnite Season 8 Battle Pass Rewards
The new battle pass has about 100 tiers that players will have to grind through. Along the way, you will unlock new characters, styles, weapons, and much more.
As usual, the battle pass has two options – the free version with regular rewards and the premium pass with bigger rewards. The premium path will set you back 950 V-bucks. Meanwhile, another premium variant will enable players to zip past 25 tiers. This option costs 2800 V-bucks.
Some of the notable tier rewards include – Fabio Sparklemane, Torin, Charlotte, Kor, J.B. Chimpanski, Carnage, Demon Slayer Blade and free V-Bucks.
