Football Club Management 23 launches today and offers a unique look at football management

Go Play Games has announced that its popular Club Soccer Director game has undergone a rebrand, correcting the sport in its title and becoming Football Club Management. Launching August 4th, Football Club Management will give players full reign over a club to deal with everything from signing players to handling the finances.

Players will be given realistic day-to-day experiences in the role of a director of football, a club owner or a chairman. All aspects of real club management have been added to the game, including overseeing finances, striking up sponsorships, recruiting staff and players, and dealing with the press and difficult managers. There are over 800 clubs to choose from, or there is an option to create a new team to represent any missing town. There are multiple game modes available including Career, Choose any Club and the Chairman mode, all offering a deep look at how clubs are actually run.

When discussing the rebranding Jim Scott, founder and developer at Go Play Games, said “When we first launched Soccer Club Director in 2016, we wanted to give football fans the chance to experience real football club management. We identified a gap in the market for users to be more than just a football manager, with the opportunity to manage all aspects of a football club.”

One of the most unique points about this game is that it was created by qualified coaches and managers, giving the game a more real experience of what it would be like to handle a club. Jim Scott himself has worked on football games before in the past, and is a fully qualified coach and former non-league manager. There are other games to scratch the manager itch of course, but precious few others that can boast this kind of genuine background.
