Following its release on iOS devices last year, Bedtime Digital Games' surreal action-puzzler Figment: Journey into the mind will be heading for Android next Thursday, January 14th. If you're unfamiliar, it follows Dusty and his pal Piper as they adventure through the different parts of the mind.

The reason? The mind that Dusty and Piper reside in has suddenly been hit with nightmarish thoughts that have manifested themselves as monsters. Dusty was the mind's former voice of courage you see, so it'll be up to him to help fight back against these new fears.

The levels are broadly divided into the left and right sides of the brain. The Freedom Isles focus on the right, with the puzzles found there requiring lateral thinking to uncover the solution. Meanwhile, the Clocktown is intended to represent the left side and is home to puzzles with more logical solutions.

It sports a very dreamy, surreal aesthetic that's certainly very suitable as a representation of the mind. The world is made up of dozens of beautiful floating islands that have an array of random objects laying on top of them such as giant mugs and apples that double as homes.

As mentioned, the game previously launched for iOS around a year ago and prior to that, it launched on PC. It's been well-received on both platforms and Bedtime Digital Games are currently working a sequel too.

Figment: Journey into the mind is currently available over on the App Store and will release on Google Play on January 14th. On iOS it is a free-to-play game with a single in-app purchase that unlocks the whole of Figment.
