abxylute moves into the mobile gaming world with the S9 launching on Kickstarter

Since founding back in 2022, abxylute has been making a hard-to-pronounce name for themselves with their handheld streaming console and gaming controller. Now, they are pivoting over into our world, and launching their S9 Mobile Controller on Kickstarter.
It is becoming a bit of a saturated market and you need to stand out, and from the beta tester feedback, it sounds like the S9 is making a good start, being compared to the Xbox controller. The S9 is compatible with almost all mobile gaming setups, including PS Remote Play, Xbox Game Pass, and a few emulators for good measure. For those worried about fitting in your big phone, have no fear. The S9 claims the title of the world’s most stretchable Type-C controller, a slightly amusing accolade to be sure. It extends to 216mm, capable of fitting devices from an iPhone 15 to an iPad Mini. It can also accommodate tablets up to 8.8 inches, a very diverse piece of kit.

The S9 packs a few pretty neat features, including customisable back buttons, a turbo mode, advanced rumble motors and a gyroscope, but there are two points that catch my interest the most. First, it is compatible with both USB-C and Bluetooth which is massive. Second, and even more important, is subscription-free software with touchscreen mapping and a quick game launcher. Controllers where you have to also pay to use the software is a slap in the face.
So, if you want to get your hands on this, how can you? Well, starting now you can head over to Kickstarter and throw a pretty decent $49.00 down to secure the super early bird pricing. This is limited to the first 300 perks though, so move fast.
Missing these limited spaces isn't the worst thing in the world though, as you can still pick it up in the first week for $59.00 in the regular Early Bird price. After that, it rises to $69.00 if you back the Kickstarter after a week, and then jumps a bit on retail release at $99.00. The highlight here is to act fast and you can pick up a quality controller for nearly half price.
