Create Your Perfect Vacation Day With Make My Day

The Make My Day app, by Lonely Planet, gives you access to a new series of mobile guidebooks that focus on some of the worlds most famous cities.

it lets you choose from six cities such as New York, Barcelona, and London, and gives you a look at some of the most exciting things to see and do, including helpful advice from travel experts. Each entry in the guidebook is broken up into 3 parts - morning, afternoon and evening - and give up-to-date information on websites, telephone numbers, hours, and pricing, as well as maps to where the activities are located.

To celebrate this new app, Lonely Planet is running a contest from now until April 30. Create a morning/afternoon/evening itinerary from one of the six cities and share it on Twitter or Facebook with the hashtag #makemydaylp. Write why it would be your perfect day and you could win a trip for two to that city.

Make My Day is available for free on the App Store, while the guides are $3.99 each and $7.99 for all six cities.
