Componut is an upcoming 2D physics-based puzzle game that's heading for iOS and Android sometime this June. The name, as you may have already guessed, blends the words component and donut. Why? Because you will get tasked with returning one of these tasty treats back to the box where it belongs, of course. This news was first spotted by TouchArcade.

It's a quirky premise and one that makes me feel more than a little bit hungry. There will be 50 levels to get through, and each will present you with the same goal, returning the donut to its box. To do so, you will have to create a variety of contraptions to transport your dessert there.

The developers want players to focus on creativity when trying to discover a solution to each level, meaning you can find multiple ways to overcome the various challenges. For instance, you might create a catapult to toss the donut across the stage or a vehicle to carry it safely.

Componut promises a mobile-friendly input system that makes creating your various contraptions simple and straightforward. You can check out numerous examples of what you can build in the embedded trailer above alongside the hazard you'll need to contend with. The game also boasts a replay system, so you will be able to share your donut saving escapades with your pals.

Componut will be heading for the App Store and Google Play on 19th June. It will be a premium title that costs $4.99 on iOS and $1.99 on Google Play.
