Celebration abound as the Akademiya Extravaganza begins in Genshin Impact

The Akademiya Extravaganza has kicked off in Genshin Impact, giving players an opportunity to enjoy some fun new events. A dangerous and destroyed new area has also been unveiled, as has two new players to tackle the troubles with.
Hosted by the Sumeru Alademiua, the Extravaganza will host two main events, the Wisdom Gala and Insterdarshan Championship. There will be booths set up with six mini-games, each designed around the Six Darshans. On top of the games, representatives of the Darshans will be competing at the Interdarshan Championship in a new story. During your next venture into the desert, you may come across a new area of wasteland with its own oasis. This area was one of the main battlefields during the Khaenri’ah cataclysm five hundred years ago and has since been ravaged by Gray Crystals and Purple Mists. To explore this area, you can mount the Pari and fly to the otherwise inaccessible location.

If you are looking for a new challenge, make sure you check out the new Trounce Domain. You will come face to face with Apep, the dragon of Verdure and past ruler of ancient Sumeru, so you know are in for a challenge. More information on the dragon can be obtained from Nahida’s Story Quest, Sapientia Oromasdis Chapter: Act II, so it might be interesting to tackle this boss after you know their story.
Now for the most important thing, characters! We will have access to two new options, Baizhu and Kaveh. Kaveh is a five-star Catalyst wielder with the power of Dendro, with the ability to raise a Seamless Shield to heal his comrades. Their story quests, Lagenaria Chapter, will unveil some lore on the owner of Bubu Pharmacy.
Kaveh is another Dendro user, wielding a Claymore. A talented architect in Sumeru, he has picked up the moniker Light of Ksharewar. His architectural toolbox, Mehrak, will trigger all Dendro Cores on the field to explode, giving you some wide-reaching AOE damage, but can lose him some useability in a mixed elemental team.
Version 3.6 will be launching on April 13th, so make sure to download Genshin Impact from the App Store and Google Play to get ready.
