Castle Duels reach one million installations during its hugely successful beta phase

Betas are an incredibly important step in game development, giving the team valuable input from players pre-release. Castle Duels is one such game that has been in beta since July 2024, and even without a proper launch, it has still pulled in one million installs. 

That is a fantastic number to reach in around four months, and it isn’t even fully out yet, the global 1.0 version is launching today. Clearly, this real-time PvP tower defense will have quite the audience when it exits beta. Castle Duels is a tower defence that pits you in real-time PvP, in which you must balance both offence and defence. It brings a card-based system that allows you to summon a host of different units, including mages, ghosts, and succubi. You can merge units together across five ranks, unlocking increasingly devastating moves.

After each round, you can pick from random Battle Boosts to keep things fresh, and there is a faction modifier system to master. You can join Clans to team up for co-op battles if you feel like stepping back from the PvP, or dive into clan tournaments set across multi-stage formats with valuable prizes on the line.

In what is quite the genius move, MY.GAMES is offering players of its other games a special promo code upon Castle Duels' release. This will reward those loyal players with one epic card, three rare cards, 50 crystals, and 1,000 Gold coins. 

We usually see things like global release bonuses or the oft-reported milestone pre-registration bonuses, but I don’t recall seeing this move before. I enjoy the brand loyalty angle, partly as a nice bonus for fans who have played a company's whole catalogue. Also, it is a clever move to pull fans of Castle Duels to try out the rest of MY.GAMES repertoire. A win-win.
