CASE: Animatronics is a horror game that likely takes a few cues from incredibly popular Five Nights At Freddy's. The game has previously been available on the Switch where it released back in October last year. Now it's made its way over to iOS.

The joy of mobile is that it'll cost you a fraction of the price too with the Switch version being $19.99 whilst the iOS port will only set you back $2.99. Of course, it's only then worth that money if it's a solid port.

The game itself takes place in a Police department where a hacker has taken over the building, locked every exit and switched off the power. You play as Detective John Bishop, a man who is known for working late trying to solve his various cases. On this particular occasion, that carries a larger threat to his wellbeing than merely messing up his work/life balance.

You'll be tasked with surviving the night whilst also trying to solve the mystery of who took over the Police station. Beyond that, you're also being pursued by an animatronic that's taken issue with your existence for unknown reasons, you'll have to find out the answer to that too.

Our detective hero will only have a tablet to his name that he can use to watch the security cameras and torch to light the way. So you'll have to keep an eye out for the mechanical menace's movements whilst scurrying about the Police station.

You'll want to make sparing use of the torch too, shining a bright light around is a sure way to get yourself discovered but there will be times you'll need to, so you'll have to find a balance. To lose the animatronic you'll be able to duck into closets and cabinets to catch your breath before venturing back out in search of more clues.

CASE: Animatronics is available now over on the App Store. It's a premium title that costs $2.99.
