Call of Duty Warzone is coming to mobile, Activision confirms

For a while, the internet speculated that a Call of Duty Warzone mobile version was in the works. However, the rumours were not confirmed or denied by the developers at the time.

Now, Activision has confirmed that a mobile version of Call of Duty: Warzone is in the works and will hit mobile devices soon. The game publisher is aiming for a release on Android as well as iOS across the globe.

The speculations were confirmed when Activision tweeted about opportunities for developers and publishers for an upcoming game. The tweet then linked to Activision’s official blog where they confirmed Warzone mobile.

“We are creating an all-new, AAA mobile experience that will bring the thrilling, fluid, and large-scale action of Call of Duty: Warzone™ to players on the go.

Join our growing, award-winning team of mobile veterans and emerging talent on this ambitious mission. We are seeking skilled operators in all aspects of game development. This large-scale, battle royale experience is being built natively for mobile with cutting-edge technology designed to entertain gamers around the world for many years to come.”

So far, not much has been revealed about the game but we do know that Activision is gearing up for a AAA experience and it would be natively crafted for phones. Further, it might be rolled out globally for Android and iOS. As the entire game cannot be replicated for mobile, we can expect a few changes.

As Warzone is a massive hit on console and PC, players are hyped for the same AAA experience on mobile. COD fanatics have been longing and asking for a mobile version for a really long time, and at last, Activision has decided to act upon it.

Considering that Battlefield Mobile, Apex Legends Mobile, and Valorant are making their way towards mobile, it makes sense that Activision did not want to miss out on all the action.

Call of Duty: Mobile has been massively successful. If the developers get it done right, then Warzone’s large-scale battle royale could be experienced on the go.
